Default How cold is it???

Noticed it's a little chilly there the last couple of days..... just wondering: do you hunker down in this kind of weather or still go about your daily fun lives??

this is what we do in NYC:

I cannot speak for others but me and the missus go about our normal life. If it is really too cold for golf, we cancel the tee time. Our motto is that there are 365 days in a year and if we blow off a few games because of weather - cold or rain - so be it. This week they were only giving one point for canceled tee times in the morning so even the tee time people knew how cold it was.

The same goes for my golf groups.

Other activities still hold - walks, exercise, visits to the squares. We just dress a little warmer. Dungarees instead of shorts.

Today was St Augustine. Tomorrow back to golf.

Are Dungarees the same as Jeans or are they heavier material?

Hmmm! -- I never saw the memo for the change in words. Heck - jeans is even shorter that dungarees and easier to spell!!! I will have to remember that.

But then - I always though men wore dungarees and women wore jeans.

Hi caveman and all of you in the dungaree part of this weather thread,

I just could not resist jumping in here with this song for you. It might help to clarify things. If you listen closely to the lyrics, you will hear a line where Eddie Fisher refers to his "jeans" while singing to his "Dungaree Doll."

As soon as I saw you talking about that word, the song popped into my head. I was in elementary school at the time, but I remember those songs from those days. They pop into my head, at even the slightest suggestion. ( 'tis an affliction of sorts, I do think maybe.) ....Now, if only I could remember where I put my car keys, I would go to the grocery store....

Anyway, here's the song for you.....aw, c'mon, I bet you remember it.
