You can pick one up at the Lake Miona Rec Center.

Bogie is correct.... you can go to the regional rec center in person, fill out the form, and get the guest pass on the spot.

The online/internet request system requires 3 days advance planning and then the pass is ready when you arrive.

So, you have an option for immediate pass, just not the most convenient way to do it.

Going to a regional rec center is not a hassle at all. Fill out a simple form, they do it on the spot and only takes a couple of minutes. That has been my experience at Seabreeze anyway.

Be aware that if I remember correctly that on Saturday and Sunday you can't get a guest pass after noon. This I think should be changed.

I called and got the guest pass hours. They are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at any Regional Recreation Center. Saturday and Sunday hours are 8:00 AM to noon and you can only get them at Savannah and Lake Miona.

I just think the Saturday and Sunday situation causes some problems for some people. It did for me but only once now I know and will not let it happen again. People do just drop by without notice and if they do don't try to get a guest pass on Saturday or Sunday afternoon to go out and play golf or go to the pool. This is what happened to us.

In communities we left, offices had regular hours, rules and we learned to live with them. Here you can get a guest pass relatively quickly and easily during set times. If you know the times, you just plan accordingly. If you don't know the hours, sometimes we're upset because we feel our need is urgent (could be, but the next time, we'll be aware).

The Villages is a home town for many, many people....not a vacation resort and there do have to be set times for business. It's a lovely place that's set up fairly efficiently. Alas, we might just have to make the adjustments, just as we did in any town we lived in.

Give me a break, since many of the employees at the rec centers are part time, how about planning accordingly and checking ahead for operating hours. Doesn't seem too difficult to me.........Many municipalities that we all came from only operated mon - fri, weekend hours were unheard of.

And no I don't work at a rec center.......

Sorry for the rant, Pooh you said it best..........
