Earlier this year we switched our home phone to Comcast as a bundle, and within a few days of having the new number, we started receiving solicitation phone calls beginning with "welcome to your new home". When I said we've lived here for 6 years, why are you calling me?, they stuttered, then went into their pitch. We had already signed up the phone number for "do not call", but unfortunately, it takes about 30 days to go into effect. And yes, our calls were even before 8am. Very annoying.

All deed information is public record. Recorded online as well as public record. Most can start at that point to pursue a sale and/or contact. I worked in the Sales Office for a large insurance company and a good part of their leads came from public records i.e., Registry of Deeds where all home sales are recorded and open to the public.
