Some people must decorate for fall season around here because Hobby Lobby has tons of that stuff right now. DW had a lot of fall decorations but we got rid of it before moving down here.

We change the signs on the Hotel Rates and Rental Houses raising them for the winter.

People don't do things like corn stalks and wheat staffs on lamp posts (done a lot in Michigan and Ohio) but I have seen fall wreaths on doors, and I have dried flower arrangements on my dining room hutch that I change out for the seasons. Storage of those items is a bit of a problem, but the craft fairs are always well attended, so somebody's buying something!

I put a wreath on the front door with beautiful fall colors. Inside I have lots of fall decor. I just love how the house looks all decked out. Right after that, the Christmas decorations come out and by January 1st, it's all over until next year.

Many people on our street decorate their lamp pole out front with leaf garlands or wreath and also their outdoor entry areas with fall decor such as mums and fake pumpkins (not a real pumpkin like I learned first year here, it rotted out in less than a week with the heat). Most of my neighbors and myself decorate for fall inside as well with Halloween and Thanksgiving centerpieces etc. Welcome to The Villages and ignore the ignorant remarks the not so silent minority make.

I take down the fake green plastic palm trees and put up the fake brown plastic palm trees. That sets the mood for fall in Florida!

We have lived in the Village of Bonita for seven years. We have never had 1 TorT.

No trick or treating but you can donate bags of candy for the trunk trick or treating when they have a Halloween celebration in Brownwood (before and after COVID that is) where all kids in and around The Villages are welcome to come in costume and they close off the street next to Blue Fin. Fun to go down and watch and lots of adults have very imaginative costumes.
