Philly cheesesteaks and pretzels....oh my.. that almost makes me want to hop in the car and head for our Pa place (the Phiily burbs). Oh yeah....there's an ice storm scheduled for Tuesday. I guess I'll just stay here and let the warm sun shine on my face. I would love visiting your version of a little village square, Cabo. Maybe you can mention it to the Developer!
BTW, Merry Christmas to all.

So....you like the new development where the buffalo used to roam on Old Mill Run. What do you think of the mix of homes for sale and renters in the same cluster? Do you think it has eye appeal and are you happy with it as the gateway to Lake Sumter Landing downtown?

In fairness, for clarification, I think you may be confused about my "vision". I am not referring at all to the downtown section of Lake Sumter Landing. That has been well done. I am referring to the new development on Old Mill Run.

I strongly agree with rshoffer when he said,

If you mean what they did to the area where the buffalo once roamed, ANYTHING would be better than what is there now. I think that place looks crowded and cheap.... a far cry from The Cottages where we stayed on our lifestyle preview. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall listening to the planning stages of that development. It doesn't give that "first impression" that The Cottages gave, that's for sure. Whenever I drive by there I always wonder..., "what in the world were they thinking"?

I also concur with Gracie when she says, it has "absolutely no ambiance".

Thanks for the response. Always interested in different viewpoints.

You seem to be catching a lot of flak from people of little vision ...I for one think it would fly because everything in THE VILLAGES is UNUSUAL and INTERESTING...........People outside the Villages and on vacation would come to see it and share in it.........
In my corner of the world is a place called MACKINAW ISLAND where no cars are allowed , just horse and carriages and fudge shops and and the place is jamed................PEOPLE OF VISION UNITE.............

There is a large section of the tract in issue between the new aesthetically challenged housing cluster and Barnes and Noble that doesn't appear to be under development....that is the last time I passed there anyway. The ever effervescent Villages rumor mill has suggested a bowling alley is under consideration. Any thoughts, info or ideas on the rumored option for that location?
