:dontknow: I know the roofs up where I am typically last ~25 or 30 years. Before I make a decision on what model home to purchase, I want to consider the short and long-term maintenance costs.
Question is, how long can I expect a roof to last in TV? (I don't know whether or not the rains/winds of storms affect the life expectancy.) Thanks for your input!

You can expect 10-15 years with regular shingles and I'm told up to 20 years with architectual shingles. The problem here is the sun primarily but as many people found out in 2004 the shingles from the older roofs lifted much easier in the wind. I live on the east side and I'll bet 30% of the houses had new roofs in 04&05.
Thats about the right time frame maybe longer. Just hope you don't get a bunch of shingles with defects or poor workmanship.
But that really is a crap shoot.
