. Thanks Villagestinker & Coffeebean for your responses. I’ve also sent an email to “Jerry & Linda”. Will see what info they come up with. I’ve seen these skylights now can be operated (opened&closed) by using an app on the phone. Technology is amazing. 👍🏻

Is it Dan or Dave? You mentioned both names.

Jerry and Linda are nice people, but their information is not always correct, which they admit to. Might be better to call the ARC and see how many houses have applied to put in skylights. Bet it isn't a high number.

Did someone say Recliner!? My husband broke the leg extender on his electric recliner last week. It has all the bells and whistles and was only 3 years old but we figured it wasn’t repairable, so we checked out 3 furniture stores for a new one and none of them would take the broken one when they delivered the new one. Thrift shops, same answer.
Enter Dan, the Villagetinker. He responded immediately and came over, diagnosed the problem, a broken plastic mechanism, that couldn’t be repaired…..but wait! He made a new part from metal, made several trips to fit it perfectly and it works now, better than before because it’s a custom made replacement metal part.
We are amazed at his talent, his kindness, his availability and ingenuity. What a great resource for those of us who aren’t mechanical and can barely screw in a lightbulb. Becky and Sam say Thanks Dave! You saved the day.
How can I contact the Village Tinker?
Thanks in advance

OMG, we may have opened can of worms, poor Dave will be inundated with requests, but I must say, you're the nicest, kindest person that helps so many Village peeps. You fixed our yesteryear hinge screw that broke off, and labored tirelessly, repair was perfect. Thanks Dave!!!

So far, private messages have been OK, I have seen an up tick in other requests, especially former people I have helped.

Thank you again for your comments. VT

ALL, as noted, the best way to contact me is by Private Message, I am typically on ToTV 2 or 3 times a day. I try to get back to people the same day I see the PM.
