Default Here is our menu for this year.

Left out green salad and won't have our older daughter's Watergate Salad either, but more than enough for five.

You know C....It might be, but our son in law likes it...so it could be bi-partisan.

It is a fact that this moderate loves some Democrats........

More than others. AND some Republicans more than others too.

Default FROZEN ORANGE SALAD old recipe clipping

Frozen Orange Salad Recipe Clipping | RecipeCurio.com

This recipe probably would no longer be popular among the younger generation of parents.......who prefer natural foods.

They much prefer fresh cut up fruit for their children.......

..........which is what I do....tropical fruits, etc. or fruits in season......with no additives. No cooking or mixing. No cans to open. Just slice and serve fresh as finger foods....berries, pineapple chunks, bananas, pears, tangerines, clementines, apples......cantaloupe...grapes of course.

However, this is identical to a recipe I used to make when our kids were little.......found it under VINTAGE RECIPE CLIPPINGS.....great website if you are looking for a long lost recipe of your mom's, your aunt's or your own from the '60s or '70s.

FROZEN ORANGE SALAD using Jello and canned mandarin oranges, orange sherbet, etc.

This Thanksgiving I have Harry & David Rogue Valley Royal Riviera Pears arriving early in week.

They are so sweet and smooth as silk..........you can eat them with a spoon. HUGE PEARS. Not hard.

Everything old is new again as far as serving the younger generation their fruit.....without preservatives or adding sugar or heavy syrups. Since this is what the little ones were raised on........they don't really crave the sweets.
