Depends on how you define North

I'm confused. A free roof raised insurance and property taxes? But only up north. Oh, why not.

If we can save everyone else all over the FRi@@ing then why can't we save ourselves? Let the word WE mean whoever you feel like having it mean, our government, ourselves etc. First let's help the people with their world upside down and inside out and then worry about such things.

The question here is what have you done for someone else in your own state who is hurting? Try sending a couple of dollars to an organization that is real and who helps. Others would know better than I who that would be.

Then we'll worry about taxes and insurance. Wake up!

You’re exactly right! That’s why Ins. companies never go broke you pay to have Ins. & even if you don’t have a claim, you pay. It doesn’t seem right but if you do have a claim you’re glad you have it because then everyone else’s Ins. will go up & yours will too! It’s a no win situation.

You never know how good your insurance company is until you make a claim.
You will never know how well an insurance company is covered financially, until all insured make a claim.
I warrant a few Florida insurance companies will struggle to meet their Hurricane Ian commitments!

I have a friend who lives in North Port. Lost his house and his Bread Delivery Truck and Trailer during the storm. He got paid immediately for the vehicles and the house should be settled shortly. He feels very fortunate. He almost cracked when he was describing the sound of 150 MPH wind for almost an hour. I invited him here but as of now he doesn’t have enough gas to wait in line for gas. Bad planning but I just did a lot of listening. No time to preach. Thank God he survived.

I don’t think so PROVIDING. A junior Representative voted against funding damage of Super Storm Sandy. The current administration has already authorized startup funding. BUT in December Gov DeSantis will need to petition both the House and Senate for full funding. Without this funding we may be it trouble.

No, they voted against a bill that also included $Billions in Pork...

The majority of the "Hurricane Sandy Relief Bill" had nothing to do with relief for the victims of Hurricane Sandy...

Just as the "Inflation Reduction Act" has little to do with reducing inflation. It is mostly "Green Energy" funding...

Oh, and I'd be careful with your political posts... They are a "no-no" per the rules of this site...

So the shift is the hurricane will cause taxes to rise rather than the decision to punish Disney. Gov lucked out with that one.

Taxes or insurance? Seems many in this thread are confused about what the thread is actually about...
