I am a snowbird but was forced to leave TV and head west for Christmas...family. Everyday I check the temp here in CO vs TV. I am not happy, luckily my internment ends in less than a week. Now if they would just turn the heat back on.

We know the feeling! Me and the Mrs went to see my parents up in NJ and got there the day of the bizzard. We were the last plane out of Atlanta headed North, all others cancelled.
Sunday we spent 2+ hours shoveling 2 feet of snow for my parents. Since I married an Alabama girl, I had to teach her had to shovel it as she had never shoved snow before. Plus, all she had was high heeled boots so here she is shoveling in high heels! She only "busted" it once, and no I didn't laugh......RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to get back to TV this week!

Default Satire????

Lots of satire from the north....

As novelist Leo Rosten says: “Satire is focused bitterness.”

"Come on down" - Anita Bryant said that!

Question

Just curious, does the ammenity fee cover snow removal? My sales agent said he was not sure. I told my wife she would not have to shovel any more snow.

After extensive (NOT) research, it appears that the amenity fee only covers snow removal in the squares and common areas. However, as a public service and for a small annual fee, I will insure your driveway remains clear of snow for as long as you live in TV.

ijusluvit,
I hope that you made it back to TV before the cold weather hit Buffalo. We also enjoyed the warm weather and green grass up until 12/28.

We then got a blast of snow and cold weather. Only about 5inches in Amherst but the southtowns fared worse.

We leave for TV about Jan.15, weather permitting. Can't wait!

Default Three days of snow!

It's like living in a snow globe here in Maine this weekend. It is supposed to snow Fri-Sat-Sun. Good grief!

I find myself singing TV theme song in my head all the time lately.

Those of you who are living in TV, the rest of us envy you.

Default Admin: Why were posts deleted???

Both DugCave and I have had our posts deleted. Mine was a fictitious diary of a snow shoveler and DugCave's was about the heat in Arizona. They are both gone.

Talk Host and/or Tony, please advise.

Default We like original material

I removed the posts. We really try to stay away from those items that are circulated to death and cut and pasted all over the internet.

We try hard to keep the forum original.

Default And Further More

I had to allow the truck to melt the ice off the windows, seemed to have trashed my scrapers after moving to the warm and friendly climate of TV, so I could hook the boat up and go bass fishing this morning. And another thing, I had to wear deck shoes instead of sandals. It's so coooold this morning. Now if I could only remember what I did with the sunscreen.

Life is good!
