Hot weather seems to bring out the worst side of some. It's always been that way.

And it is the heat . . . people get really grumpy in the heat.

I've learned sooooooooo much by talking with restaurant people. Its amazing what us seniors can come up with
1. Eat half your 1/4 pounder in Ocala on your drive back home around noon. Then, when you get to dinner time (5pm or so) find a BK and show them the 1/2 eaten burger and tell them the meat tastes funny. They give you another one, free
2. Steal all the sugar packs and take the salt and pepper shakers
3. Grab a large handful of napkins to take home
4. Eat at a buffet and fill your purse or pockets with napkin wrapped food to go
5. Ask for extra bread or rolls and take them all home
6. Complain so loudly and aggressively in hopes you'll get a free meal

HEY,,,,, WHAT THE HECK....WHY are you FOLLOWING ME around ?

All your info is so LAST Year....

the Casino.

#3....Yeah ...So What.....at least I don't take 'em ALL.

#4 ...I now bring GALLON Baggies...always hated how the "wings"
sauce leaked thru the napkins and stained my stretch pants.

#5....That is just BOGUS....I take them to the birds, not home.

#6....Gimmee some credit...at least I have NEVER hit anyone,

Ancient Olive is kind of expensive, but great stuff. If you like raspberries try the raspberry balsamic vinegar - it really is amazing and they are the nicest people.

LOL Funny you mention that!!! We do our walk at LSL, and after go to Panera for coffee & some yummy. Usually we are 3 guys, that grab a table where we can watch people come in, and take free coffee with their own coffee mugs. Some come in after a tedious bike ride, and take free soda's etc. We too see them take extra tea bags and put them in their pocket. I guess that's the sign of the times???? We feel good paying, but not so good watching people take for free!!

Had not noticed that Sumter Landing store before.

If I ever saw that, I'd be tempted to say very loudly, "Hey, why don't you pay for that??

The price of homes have risen so high that only people with means........and by means...I mean money with moods... can only afford most homes so.......

Used to be old grumpy which I could excuse a little easier cause I might be one someday...now its spoiled money which I will probably never be.......

Unfortunately, too many have the me-me-me attitude. It is a learned attitude and for that, we can thank ole Dr. Spock and his teachings about self-esteem. There is nothing wrong with establishing self-esteem, but there is plenty wrong in how that is done. There is a definite, not fine, line between self-esteem and selfish.

Sumter Landing - I believe it is Canal Street, about half way up from the actual square in the same area as the wine bar.

There's a saying that we used to say..."THAT person shows a lot of class...mostly lower!" I'm always shocked when someone shows their true colors like that...must make their kids and grandkids proud!!!

I'm so sorry that happened to you and I'd be ranting as well!!!

Well, snowbirds do move into The Villages, you know. We'll be there in January-March, 2015 in a rental. (I know: oh, no, another one!). Rudeness is a reflection on the rude idiot. Most of our generation is polite. Devious, maybe, but polite. We look forward to our 3 months in The Villages. We were there for 2 weeks in December and decided to try it for 3 months to see if we want to make it permanent. However, at 81, "permanent" is a relative term.
