I use a Chromebook, there is NO risk to me if I open it! You CAN NOT get a virus on a Chromebook. They CAN NOT download any malware.

I wonder if this thread would have over 4000 views if the title didn't include; "I don't live in the Villages"?

Just delete anything that you never inquired about! Pretty simple solution. I do & they quit sending you these stupid emails. You know if you inquired about these phony emails.

I sometimes get this message also. This is what I have found on someone's blog site:

Safebrowse.io is a legit policing service used by Xfinity (my internet provider).
It was flagging my blog for no apparent reason.
My blog was not flagged on any other internet provider or cellular service that I could see. Non-Xfinity users and anyone using cellular data could access it just fine.
Not all Xfinity wifi users were getting the same screen, but everyone who got the screen was an Xfinity user.
If we turned off the Advanced Security Filter on our router, voila, the problem was solved. If we turned it back on, the flag appeared again.
The problem seemed to be with the Xfinity advanced security algorithm or blacklist.

I lso have Xfinity and I am guessing they made some change in the last few weeks that caused this to start happening.

Yes, I started getting this recently. In checking it out, I found that it is a new security feature added to Xfinity. You can go to your Xfinity account or Comcast account settings and turn it off. My existing security is sufficient to block questionable sites, so I will continue to use that safeguard.

Malwarebytes did just discover a trojan on my laptop in the last week, and I have no idea from where it came, so all security warnings should be heeded. .

and if you are being tracked for marketing purposes, do you really want that?

Emails are like Scam phone calls. If you answer or hang up on them, they know your phone didn’t ring enough times so they know there’s a live person that was on other end. Emails , same thing if you answer an email, even if you say take me off of your mailing list. They know there’s a live person making a comment. So they’ll either hen peck you to death or sell your email address to someone else. Let phone ring until it stops, then go to “Remove Caller” & delete. Also don’t open emails just delete them. They’ll quit!

I have Xfinity. Are you all talking about the daily email "digest" TOTV sends via Email? I don't subscribe to it and I don't get those "warning" emails.

I can't answer for the OP, but I can tell you that I joined TOTV in 2008, when friends of mine bought a place here and introduced me to the idea of someday owning a place here.
I did not buy a place in TV until 13 years later.
I learned a lot about TV on this site. Some useful stuff, some not so useful stuff.

I don't think it's terribly unusual for someone who doesn't live here to access TOTV. In fact there is one thread titled "Thinking of moving to The Villages? Read this first." That sounds a lot like an invitation to access the site, for someone who does not live in TV, does it not?
