When I lived up north I never zipped up my jacket until it hit 32 or below.
When we first moved to FL in 1997 I used to pray for a cold front to come this far down.

Now, after 23 years, I am officially a Floridian. Anything below 60 is unacceptable. ☺️

I’m reading all these posts, and smiling and nodding my head as I read each one!

Born in Buffalo NY, lived 24 years in Upstate NY. Moved to Atlanta 28 years, now at TV...and we freeze if it’s below 65-70. Would not move back north for anything! Chilly morning outside today! 🥶🥶🥶

61? Throw in some rain and it sounds like a fine summer day in Seattle.......

I had to buy a neck scarf today to make it bearable to walk the dog. The dog LOVES the cold.

A few years ago when I first got to TV we went on a day trip to Daytona to the beach. The temperature outside was about 75 and sunny, the water temperature about 70. My friends were complaining it was a little cool. I said I was going into the water and they thought I was totally crazy. I told them this is as warm as it ever gets up north so it felt great to me. Having lived hear for a few years would not do it again.

I noticed that 60 feels colder in Florida than it does up North when I was just visiting TV. Not sure why that is the case but it does seem there is usually a breeze down here. Comparable temps in the summers feel cooler down here too.

[QUOTE=tophcfa;1870964]I am stuck up north in Westerm, MA

Where in Western MA? I'm from the Springfield area.
It took less than a year for me to acclimate to the weather here. First of all, I love the heat. But anything under 75, and I'm probably in a light jacket or sweatshirt and jeans. I just don't like the cool weather.

I went to college in Northern PA and would only wear an old red Scout Jacket all winter. No matter what, I was always warm. Today, I find myself putting on the extra clothes to keep warm. But I have to ask - Why is there a wind on the coldest days of the year but a breeze on a hot day is hard to find?

I wish I had my dog's winter coat! He's outside all day now. A month ago barking to come in out of the heat by 10 am.
