Thank you. That makes sense

I’m sure if they weee looking for bodies the news media would be out there in a heart beat because TV would have to report it. Did anybody ever think about asking why they drain certain ponds, or are some people just trying to start a panic!

Since I walk down to the dog park there at least once a week, I guess we will see.

I think repair is more likely, but maybe someone threw their mother-in-law into the pond...
This time of year in Naples Fl they lower the water level of many retention ponds, lakes, anticipating heavy rains that come in the Summer.
Perhaps the reason in TV is the same.

They were doing a pipe repair. That hole is scheduled to reopen today.

Not a sink hole. There was a write up a few months ago explaining the problem here, and it’s not a sink hole.

I'm sure too they would utilize scuba divers. They contract out scuba divers to recover golf balls for refurbishing.

Wow, just wow.

It was a joke, which I think just about everyone here understood. I was interested in why they drained it, and got an answer that makes sense.

But, okay, I admit it, I was hoping to cause panic and fear, and was fairly certain there would be a mass exodus of people fleeing The Villages in fear of being thrown into a pond.

Wow. Just Wow...

If they can move the water between ponds using existing pipes, why do they need this equipment?
