I'm Curious
Do leaves on the trees fall in TV? If so, what are the dates this usually happen. Where I live in PA leaves are changing colors and dropping now, and we won't get new leaves until next May sometime. I've seen it as late as Memorial day without new leaves.

Leaves on the odd numbered houses are scheduled to fall on October 9th at 4:30am. Leaves on even numbered houses are scheduled to all on October 10th at 4:30pm. This will enable everyone to enjoy the falling of the leaves. We will all meet at the Squares Bait shacks with our rakes to clean the town squares.
Sorry- couldn't resist! First fall here so I don't really know! Becky Mom always said I was a smarta**.

Becky,,,, LMAO!!! You are soooo bad. Your mom was right.
Sorry 18, that's a good question, but I haven't seen leaves turn color for 31 + years. Living in SoCal, that was the part of the east coast I missed most. However, when they were inundated with snow, I was happy to have green leaves on the trees. Maybe someone else has a better answer and one more serious....

Some trees are deciduous (sp?) ... crepe myrtle, oaks, elms, others(?) and lose their leaves in Dec/Jan - depending on temps. They lose them but don't really turn much color.
Most of the landscape is evergreen...palms, ligustrums, knockout roses, azaleas, many of the flowering shrubs, etc. So, lots of greenery and really not much changing of leaf color here. There is a tall grass that turns a beautiful color in the fall. And, TV changes out the landscape flower plantings every quarter...for fall, lots of Coleus (sp), for winter you'll see pansy and other hardy plants.

the grass turns brown in the winter. (at least it did last winter but that could have been because of a really cold spell)

Never seen much in the way of color here! The most noticeable are some dark yellow and/or brown leaves on trees along the Turnpike that I notice every year as I return from my Thanksgiving cruise!
I have a small elm in my yard which does lose most of its leaves. But, that's quite late, and there's no color to go along with the drop. Never rake what falls, as they usually just blow away! I suspect that someone down the "hill" complains about them, but there're so few . . . SWR

drr47, The Historic side is 2 minutes earlier each day since they are further further north. Don't want you to miss the event!

The acorns are already falling. Of course they are so small you would not think they are acorns.

If you are lucky enough to be color blind you will not miss the color changes.
