I had a similar situation happen yesterday. I had turned my signal on to turn right into a parking spot behind the bowling alleys by Spanish springs. Another car was coming the other way, obviously saw my signal, but proceeded to turn left into the same spot I was aiming for. They didn't signal or anything, just cut right in front of me. There's no arguing with rude.

Until yesterday. I know the following story is a storm in a teacup, but what a show of bad manners I was "treated" to. I had driven to Lake Sumter Sales Center to meet visiting friends and look at properties for sale with one of the agents. As I backed my golf cart into a parking space, in the ample and not full parking lot to the rear of the Center, a car, with three women in it came at a good speed toward me (as I was reversing into the slot), and drove around me and into the space I had already reversed 2/3 of the way into on the right.. I was so stunned, although jammed on my break, that I sat in the cart as the three women (ages approximately 60's, 40's and a thirty something, and remarkably similar in looks) brazenly stepped out of their car and tried not to make eye contact with me, still parked half in and half out of the space. When I asked "why did you pull into this space when I was already in it, especially as there open spaces all around us.?" The driver, looked very annoyed that I had spoken, and responded" well, I did not know WHAT you were doing"... Deciding I could not argue with ignorance, I let it go. My imagination went into overdrive of all I should have said, should have done, "woulda coulda shoulda".... AAARRRGGGG
I really understand your feeling as I was so upset over a post made on this forum yesterday that it nearly had me brought to tears. Was there a full moon yesterday? I won't go into details about the post as I found this morning that the admin had taken the thread down and I also believe that the poster has had his account suspended or revoked. I will however say a few generic things about it.

To me the posting had the potential to be psychologically harmful to to some that are fighting depression because of their condition aligning to the flaming topic. Additionally, it was upsetting because it was offensive, condescending and outright rude. But it was not just the poster that made me livid, but a few other posters that mindlessly agreed with the poster. That made it even worse for me. I know that I was not alone in being upset by it. The reason I was so upset was because I fall into the type of human being having the condition that the poster was thoughtlessly flaming.

I'd like to say more about it, but I can't bring myself up to doing it. So I'll just wrap it up by saying sorry for you experience and thank you to Ken for taking action to eradicate the problem!

I totally agree, and noticed too the post had been removed, thanks to admin for removing it.

I don't believe any professional could possibly be that rude and insensitive and do not believe the OP was ever in the profession he/she claimed.

Please explain the screwdriver reference. Are you implying that you would use the screwdriver to damage the car of someone you thought did you wrong? If so I think you are a dangerous cowardly person.

I think I know which post you are referring to. I commented on the 'poster' on TOTV and got an even ruder PM. Glad to hear the problem has been fixed. Hopefully these people will disappear next month.

No mistake. The car came from the far end of the row, with a clear shot of me reversing into the parking space. They were aware of where I was going, and I could see them coming. All the more reason for my disbelief when they simply drove around me, just as shown in the clip from Fried Green Tomatoes, shown in the thread above. However, I did not wreck their car, nor (reluctantly) let the air out of their tires.

I think Geewiz meant and it's just a guess but a phillips screwdriver would fit nicely into the pin of a tire an let the air out.

Personally, I would walk away as it is not worth getting upset. It's easy for me to say because it didn't happen to me.

I understand 2BNTV, and I should not have let it "get to me" and now it seems very silly. Everything else is just lovely here, and I guess after three years of living in Shangri-la, the complete ignorance and deliberate rudeness was such a shock.

I understand it's upseting that someone can be so uncaring. I am not 100% sure I would not get upset within myself but I would try to not let them "rent space in my head".

Like I said, it's easy for me because it didn't happen to me.

I would guess the same thing. BTW, not to suggest one does this, but there is a small tool that without damaging the vehicle or the tires that can loosen the pin in the tire just enough to let the air out slowly. Even when the driver finds out they need air, putting air back in (if they can) will only let the air back out again and again until they figure out why it's happening! Again, I DON'T suggest anyone do this... especially to my tires!

Everytime I see a posting like this, it reminds me of one lady in particular who responded to me posting about shopping carts being left everywhere in the parking lots, persons emptying ashtrays in the grocery lots, dogs off leashes, and rude and nasty people, etc. If you are that person, I want to say to you ,,,,, I TOLD YOU SO !!!!! Do you recall your words when you said you had never witnessed rudeness on the part of Villagers.

Part of me was being facetious - but, the obvious answer is that I carry it to tighten loose screws - clearly, sometimes useful on this forum.

But...I kid....
