Thumbs down

If so, maybe they should post them around the grassy areas at the mailbox buildings. As it gets warmer the aroma of "P!" is pretty prevelent. Why can't folks water their dogs on their own grass?

Depends on where your home is. No signs allowed south of 466 per your deed restrictions.

not directed at you, MM, it's a problem of rights vs. rights and no one in charge to settle the case...perpetually.

Be careful. I've been TORTURED on this site for 4 years for saying the same thing. You'll be known as a dog hater. (Even though I love dogs). They say it's only Pee and an occasional leftover poop. "Cmon, it's nature! Let them relieve themselves wherever they want."

TVers without dogs have very limited rights.

Please remember the OP asked if these signs were allowed. Discussion and debate about owners rights wasn't the question.

Moderator to the rescue....thanks.
My deed restrictions are quite specific about signage, OP. Those are available on the VCDD website.
on the other hand...who knows how much or less traffic you'd get if you tried it.

You are considered the owner of the property even in easements for the purpose of protecting the lot around your home from foot traffic, damage, parking, etc.
(this was the official response to a query to VCDD, by the way)--

I'm a dog owner and dog lover, and I wish every dog owner would take great care of their own dogs and clean up after them. It is Not fair to your neighbors to let your dog poop and not clean it up! As for their pee, it really is hard to stop them from peeing on a walk, but you can at least try! Your neighbors should not have to put up signs. Walk them twice around your own yard before you take them past your neighbors' houses. Please stop giving us responsible dog owners a bad name!

Granny, when the moderator issues a warning, it means they are bringing gentle correction. In this case we were redirected to stick to the topic of signs in the yard. When we don't follow the correction, our posts are subject to being deleted.
