Default Vacuum Breaker

I live North of 466 and have a pressure vacuum breaker (pvb) on my irrigation system which I believe is code
My question is if there is another vacuum breaker for the rest of the house and if there is, where would it be located?
Or, are the vacuum breakers on the hose bibbs all that are needed. The hose bibbs are the only spots where contaminated water might enter the system.
Thanks

I live way north of 466 and use potable water only, no pond water for irrigation which is separate system. My irrigation has vacuum break on irrigation line and outside spigots. I believe this required by code in case of loss of water pressure. There no other breaks that I’m aware of. My house was built in 2013.

I would ask the Sumter County building department for the complete answer. Your requirements may be based on the year the house was built and not current requirements, or there may be other requirements to have it updated, in any case this would be where to get the correct information.

Depends on how far north? Marion county has about 10K plus village’s residents?

There may be a check valve on the county side of the water meter to prevent your house water from backflowing into the main water system. Other than that, vacuum breakers are required, by the current code, on exterior hose bibbs and on the irrigation system that uses potable water.

If the sanitary manhole cover in the street is at a lower elevation than your house floor level, a backflow preventer is not allowed to be installed on the sanitary drainage system by code. Some people, who had a basement in their northern house, may have had a backflow preventer in the basement.
