Default It's finally here!!!

After nine months of planning, a long drive from Vermont, 3 nights with my sis in TN and 2 nts with my nephew in SC, we are finally in a car headed south with the next stop being TV!!! We're doing a 4 nt LSV and renting a home in Springdale for the month of October. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!!

Thank you all for the help and advice that has helped prepare us. Unfortunately, most of my notes went to the bottom of Douglas Lake in TN, when I catapulted my iPhone into the lake from a speeding boat!! I hope the fish are enjoying it!! The note I will miss the most is the one with your suggestions of which restaurants to try while we are here! I'll be spending some time before bed on TOTV re-researching that. Koyama (sp?) is at the top of that list.

I hope to run into some of you somewhere. I'll be the short, strawberry blonde woman with the big smile, approaching you to ask if you'll mind telling us your TV story. See ya around!!!

Oh Alanna.

I am so happy for you. Our welcome mat is always out and the coffee pot is on.

Good for you. I hope you will as happy as we are in Lower Paradise.

Hugs,
Gracie

Congratulations, Lanabanana. My husband and I went on the LSV Sept 12 - 16 and cannot wait to call TV 'home.' Best of luck to you.

I purposely didn't bring a checkbook on our LSV. Then we found out you could secure a house on your Visa.

Alanna, I hope you have a great visit during October -- I will probably see you dancing at one of the squares when I am visiting in October.

Default Update.....

Played both rounds of ladies day today at Walnut Grove and came in 3rd on the 1st nine and first on the 2nd nine (was asked to fill in for someone who didn't show up). It was SO fun!! Definitely will do that again next week. Hubby and I have walked on to Briarwood in the evening for a quick nine holes. We have a tee time for Amberwood on Friday.

Hubby is playing basketball EVERY day! He's in heaven. We've spent several afternoons going to open houses. Unfortunately, my favorite house thus far in Virginia Trace (Gardinia on a fairly private lot with a lovely pool) was $359k and I think it has sold already! Goodness, people move fast around here. I'd prefer to find something that meets my needs for a few less $$. Oh, and that probably needs to wait for a couple of years! It's really, really fun to look though.

Tonight we went to the Vermont/Maine club meeting at the Paradise Rec Ctr and I found one of my brother's best friends from high school! Met many very nice people from our area of the country and of course, everyone is loving living here. We've chatted with people everywhere and have enjoyed it immensly.

My sis is arriving on Sunday with our two dogs and then we will get to join the rest of the dog lovers here. I promise not to let them go on anyone's lawn if you'll comment on how cute they are when you meet us around "town".

Thanks for listening!
Alanna

Alanna, Sounds like you and your husband are having a lot of fun. Small world that you should run into a friend of your brother's in TV. Going to open houses and seeing the homes for sale is a lot of fun (at least it is for me). Hope to see you dancing at one of squares later on this month. Oct. 12 come quickly!
