I'd like to ask about the Fire City at 9. Is that every day or certain days of the week?

I want to avoid jumping into a pool of potential swingers. I've never been interested in non monogamy. I think it's untraditional and unappealing. As well as gross.

What do you think the ratio of people there who are looking for relationships vs only sexual?

I just don't want to be tricked and end up at some kind of devil party haha.

That's just untrue. You have to be 18 years old, OR emancipated younger, to legally sign a contract. That is the age you're allowed to buy a home here. You can't LIVE in it until you turn 19, but you can BUY it before then.

Meanwhile, anyone 19 or older can live here. They can live in ANY home in The Villages. In fact, 100% of the homes here can have someone age 19 living in them. As long as 80% of those homes ALSO have someone age 55 or older living in them, it's allowed.

This is a SENIOR community. Children under 19 are NOT ALLOWED to live here. Someone who's 27 years old, who is not yet married/partnered, who doesn't yet have children, might some day choose to have children. Those children will not be ALLOWED to live here.

If the person in question is infertile and not interested in adopting, then hey go for it. But homeowners aren't vetted with those questions. The responsible thing is to inform prospective younger buyers that IF they decide to go the route of starting a family, they'll need to do so somewhere else.

For many people (not me) a good place to meet people would be at church. Personally, I would prefer to observe and meet them through playing sports or at the swimming pool. That allows you to observe their personality and other qualities. Meeting someone at a bar or dancing at a bar is a way for a quick ENCOUNTER rather than trying for a more lasting relationship.

I agree that dancing at the squares and meeting people is a good way to meet new people. The alcohol consumption tends to increase the friendliness. Also, there are a lot of YOUNGER local people that will be there. Music and young people, a lot to like.

And homes have increased in price due in part to increased building costs and strict zoning hurdles. The high costs of College leaves a big part of US society unable to get into the best entry level jobs. Many twenty-somethings are finding that getting skilled jobs to enter the work force is difficult. Some are able to get into military service and get skills. The ones that have "fallen through the cracks" are ending up in places like The Villages.
..........The Villages could PROBABLY help out local society by providing low cost VOCATIONAL training for the teenagers or 20 somethings around here.

Just being here has dramatically shifted my relationship with my parents in a way that was not possible back home and I value that so much. Before I wasn't comfortable and willing to be apart of their life and now I am. I can't put a price on that.

They will die, my father is 60, he will die in the next ten years. With his current health issues, I don't see him getting past the national average of life span for men.

I have zero plans on having children and my opinion on that over the last 7 years has not changed.

I'm not looking for a wife, I'm looking for someone I can enjoy spending time with.

I have seen very nice looking 50 year old ladies at the swimming pool that I have talked to. And I think that they would be interested in a 27 year old man if their personalities clicked. So, what you are talking about definitely exists here in The Villages. Actually, there should be VERY many that you could meet. Because women tend to live longer than men. And many of them may NOT be interested in marriage. Good luck.

Or they got degree that’s has no jobs available at that present time (heck nowadays some can’t get job cause of their degree they chose?I knew several people in military through years when was in that had degrees and couldn’t get job or officer appointments so they came in as enlisted. At least they was gainfully employed and looking to broaden their skills till better opportunities came along. Couple even had master’s degrees. What I found majority had good comprehension skills but lacked mechanical skills from their brain to hands. But they could ace test.
