What ever happened to the Chat Room........Never seems to be anyone on there..????????

I've tried several times myself and no one is there. Is there any way to sign into the chat room and still reead posts on TOTV, or is it one or the other and not both?

It used to be that people were there only about 9pm to 10pm.. That was my experience about a year or so ago...
And most people were not talking in the room.. probably chatting privately.. hmm .. maybe they didnt love me anymore. JJ |

Its a mystery, fumar[/QUOTE I think it's partly because very popular regular Mikark became Miktv and with that change her life became busier and much more exciting. Finding time for chat is probably very difficult nowadays.

Seems to me (even if you don't believe all the advertising) all the "chats" are taking place over 1) small, dimpled balls laying on green grass or 2) copious amounts of food and drink (adult and otherwise) at various food establishments.

I go into chat a lot of nights and a few people show up now and then. Some of the chat gang from a few years back have no time for chat now or on facebook all the time.(lol)
So if you see my name in there and I don't answer right away, wait and I will be there. I go back and forth from a few sites while I wait for chatters to show up. I do miss the old chat gang and learned so much from them about The Villages and made many new friends for our move here. So come in and say Hi and wait around till I show if I am not there right at that moment. Mikitv aka mikark now full time villager

Fumar, good question! I used to visit Chat regularly. In the evenings, there were usually at least 10 or 15 people in Chat sitting on bar stools talking up a storm. It is true that a lot of the old "regulars" have now moved to TV and are busy dancing. But there are still some of us who are seasonal or wannabees who would enjoy a chat now and then.

 You are right Bare, it would be fun to get the chatroom active again, it was fun and informative. I made many friends in the chatroom that I have been very lucky to meet in person and look forward to getting together with once we are back in TV. Do you have snow yet? We have dust on the mountain tops and it was 24 degrees this morning.  Sixty-three days and counting!
