I had a wonderful time tonight. We met at the Truman Rec Center, watched fireworks, talked with old friends and met new ones, lit sparklers, drank a little (well, some of us did but not all...alcohol that is) and enjoyed appetizers. Hopefully this is the first year of a tradition.

I'm looking forward to seeing pics too...but there better not be any bad ones posted of me....lol.... ;D

Thanks to everyone. It was so nice to meet people. Especially thanks to Donna who introduced me to so many new friends and she is just as sweet in person as she is on the computer.
I have a special connection to Dicky's brother and that was the icing on the cake. So once again "thanks to all" and have a happy 5th of July! :bigthumbsup:

I wish to thank everyone who showed up (I counted 30 plus) and all the gals who contributed food (horses dervies), candles, napkins, desserts, snacks etc

I hesitate to names names for fear of leaving someone out but, Brightspot, Redwitch, and Chelsea are some on the names who worked hard. God gave us a beautiful evening and great friends to share it with. I think a good time was had by all. Village 07 for the idea and Dicky for route planning. Donna for being the hostess with the "mostess" This group knows no boundaries :bigthumbsup:

For those of us who didn't make it, could you see the fireworks in Leesburg or Wildwood?

We saw fireworks all over the place. They were a good distance but very visible. However, the truth is we were too busy yapping to really look.

I don't know where all the fireworks were coming from but we were surrounded by them in all directions. It was beautiful!
