Default Courtyard Villas Dryer Vents

Our dryer is in the garage and the vent goes up to the roof...has anyone had a hole and vent installed right outside the dryer to outside?

IMO Depends on the design. Mine vents to the outside wall behind dryer. I suspect you design has the washer and dryer connections in inside wall or against wall facing front of house? If so you might want to check see if you can vent it through front facing wall? All models I see dryer vent out to roof or to wall inside yard behind fence?

Added, the problem with mine is the offset of the wall duct to dryer vent don’t line up. it’s like 4” or so offset and in close area where hard to make connection with out bottleneck.

That's how ours is here. Right through the garage wall directly behind the dryer. I did my own when we were living in NJ when we moved our dryer location. It was very simple as I was 100% sure there was no electrical, plumbing or gas lines in the wall since the laundry room walls in that location had no drywall. I even relocated the gas line.
