Just got back home from Lifestyle visit
We just returned home from a week at Creekside Landing. Looked at resales and new. Love the new areas of Buttonwood and Tamarind Grove. No decision yet but did find what we do not want which helps alot in making our final decision. Finally got to see Rocky and the Rollers at LSL. Great show, had a blast. Had dinner at Red Sauce, not too impressed. Breakfast buffet at Katie Bell's was wonderful and the best deal at $4.99. The only complaint we had re: the LSP was the gas golf cart was governed way too slow. We could not enjoy ourselves on the cart, we had an restless or angry line up behind us wherever we went. Just can't wait to be a full-timer at TV.

Knowing what you don't want is often as important as knowing what you do want. Glad you had fun.

I agree. My gas cart was clocked at 14 MPH. My next time around I rented one from Jim Followell and his cart went fast. A much more pleasurable experience. I live in Buttonwood and it is a great area.

Stayed at Creeksike Landing back in September of 2010. I agree the cart was extremely slow and noisy. Didn't really want to use it all the time.
I had lunch at Red Sauce, (Rigatoni Bolognese). It was delicious but I was sooooooo hungry, maybe my taste buds didn't have a hance to taste it. They didn't need to wash my dish. Sounds like you had a great time and plan on joining TV family. Best Wishes. |

Oh that was you at the head of the line. I thought we were trying for that golf cart record again in the Guinness book. Happy to see your eagerness and enthusiasm about coming back. I know that week went by to fast.

Hi TednRobin,
Yep, those LSV golf carts are like mopeds without the mo. Glad you enjoyed your stay and have decided to stay (when you find a home). I'm also kinda glad you weren't that happy with Red Sauce. That's one less table we'll have to wait for. Just clowning. All best wishes and hope to meet you one of these days! |

Rental carts from TV Golf Car store are just vanilla/left-alone/straight-out-of-the-box - no tweaking to get more speed from them. If you buy one for yourself, you can get it set up to go faster. But if you get them cranked up too high (20 mph+), you're subject to getting snagged by the local gendarmes.
Glad you had a good time. As ladylake said - - - Knowing what you DON'T want is important. The more you come and spend some time in TV, the more you'll figure out what's right for you! Glad you enjoyed your stay - Bill |

I think the LSV carts are set at 16 while the real plain Jane white rentals are set at 13. Either way, noticeably slower than the "typical" 20 mph cart.

I don't like to put down any restaurant down as tastes are personal and vary, but I had a pasta dish I had to force down and I don't consider myself picky. It had sausage/broccoli rabe in a chicken broth. It was awful. My husband had spaghetti and meatball, the sauce was very bland, he said he would have much rather had my spaghetti and meatballs. The only good thing it was on the $7.00 menu so we weren't out much.
