Considering the vast majority of people in the town squares will do the same 1980's line dance to EVERY SINGLE SONG performed by the band, no matter which genre of music is being performed...I get the feeling it really doesn't matter what songs are played on the radio. Either learn how to line dance, or turn the radio off and read a book

I can't believe some of the comments in this series of input. To say essentially "so what the abuse of the children, there are other worse things". Another that his music/entertainment was great. He, allegedly harmed young children and they lost their youth and will feel the impact for their lives and some write this off as "so what". If true, which has received a lot of confirmation where are the ones who think about the poor victims of his abuse. The reason we have so much abuse of children is because of this thinking including the Priests who are criminals.

Abuse against children is horrible. But these are separate issues. A priest might give a wonderful sermon and we can look at this sermon online but if he molested kids in his charge then that is a different issue than whether his sermon was a good one or not. |

In addition, Jackson has never been proven to be a child abuser/molester. He HAS, however, been proven of being a musical genius. I can't stand what he was alleged to do. But no one ever proved that it ever actually happened. Since it was never proven, and he's already dead, it's a non-issue. His legacy is, and should be, his music.

Really, it is fine to separate the crimes from other things a person might do. Given this logic John Gotti should be honored for his contribution to the the Italian Celebration in Little Italy regardless of the many people he killed or all the criminal actions by Priests in abusing children and ruining their lives should be forgiven since they gave a good sermon? You can't make this stuff up. What kind of person can stand up in front of a church, preach the gospel and then leave and abuse children which carries throughout their life and steals their childhood.

If Michael Jackson molested kids he should have been brought to justice but moving against the rich and very well connected is very difficult be they in any field. And I never said that priests should be forgiven because they gave a good sermon. I wrote that a good sermon stands alone whether or not the writer of the sermon did terrible deeds or not. You do know that I have tried to help survivor/victims of crimes since February of 1976 when I went in the central Washoe County Library in downtown Reno, Nevada to look for materials for my fellow Earl Wooster High School students cope with the 2-24-1976 murder of our teacher's daughter Michelle Mitchell. 2-24 is also my birthday. I have never stopped looking in libraries or on their web-site for materials to help survivors/victims of crimes. No two victims/survivors that I have come in contact with are the same because there are many different circumstances in each crime and how it is related to the victim/survivor. Leaving Neverland director says element of one of Michael Jackson accuser's claims may be incorrect | Daily Mail Online
I do find Michael Jackson's interactions with kids very creepy and where there is smoke there usually is fire. But I still enjoy his music at times and especially if someone else is singing one of his songs. David Cook - Billie ( Billy ) Jean - American Idol Top 10 - YouTube Quote:

![]() I can't help but wonder though, how many who are adamant that both the 'good & bad' should be considered when evaluating someone like MJ...but make an exception when holding the Catholic Church accountable? It just seems to me, that it is extremely hypocritical to condemn people like Michael Jackson for actions outside of his professional life (which I personally think is totally appropriate to condemn them)...while making excuses/giving a pass to religious institutions in the exact same circumstances. Where's the consistency? ![]() Last edited by ColdNoMore; 04-02-2019 at 06:35 PM. Reason: Clarification. |

But these same priests could have also done good works in their communities. Life is not simple. This is still a good song by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney no matter what crimes Michael Jackson has been accused of. Say Say Say by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson - YouTube |

Sorry...but I don't. Don't get me wrong, as I'm sure there are those whose ethics and integrity have been consistent in applying it to both instances...I just highly doubt it's been anywhere near to the same degree. ![]() |
