I'm just curious as to where you'd put a kegerator in your home?
I'm guessing the garage.

My question has resulted in a good deal of joy.

Maybe the admin of the site could start a 'beverages' topic area.

How about recliner with built in keg cooler and tap! Or hose ran in with nipple on the end!

Believe it or not, we were shopping for furniture years ago in South Carolina and came across a store that had "different" designs and styles not offered in mainstream furniture stores. I saw a big loveseat type thing with a built in cooler and drink holders on both arms and in the middle. And... the material was camouflage. They may have had what you described in another room, but my wife said we're done so that was that.

Garage is a bit on the warm side. I like your idea and AC would make it real.

So, my questions are: Where do folks get kegs of beer? Who has the best prices? Who actually stocks them? Are there any unique or interesting beers available locally?
You haven't given us an update. It's been 6 years since I had my kegerator, so I've forgotten a lot. I did mention in my earlier post about a problem most have with foam heads. The longer between pours, the more likely having foam. I mentioned the tower is the most important part and I listed a message board that you can get a lot of good advice. I remember solving my problem with the foam was solved by adding a tower cooling fan. They're really just a home made device that popped up for sale all over the internet. I got mine on eBay for about $40, if you run into that problem, here's a search I did and they many choices now of where you can get a tower fan. It really does work.

fan in kegerator cooling tower - Google Search

Something like this is what it will look like, kind of like homemade.

Just park the fan in the bottom and run the hose up into the tower, that will alleviate the foam heads.

My garage has one! Came with my cart. Urinal on one side and a cooler on the other, behind the seat.

I get my kegs at Kindred (they are cheaper than Publix liquors) and I keep mine on the lanai with no problem.
