Halibut Now I see the trash can. Just there temporary while I was doing cleanup. It normally sits just on the end of the island.
Bare and Gracie, thanks for the kind words. I am glad you like it as I truly value both of your views. As for an in cabinet trash holder, it can be done in any kitchen. You need to add slide out rollers, remove door hinges and attach the door to the rollers and install the trash can and bag holder to the roller slides. They actually make a kit to do it. You just need a spare cabinet your not using.

Nice job!! I just started looking at granite to redo ours. We had Duncan give us an estimate. Were you happy with their installers? What color granite is that & where did you get the backsplash? I really love it!
Thanks for any help you may give me, Kathy |

L2, that looks great! I have a question about the black splash. Were your walls the rough texture and if so, did you have to do anything to make them smooth so the tiles will stick? Or, did you just put the Thin Set on really heavy and hope it's going to stick?

Where did you get the granite. Is there a name for the design?

They do have a special thinset for glass tiles and they have a mat adhesive. Neither work good. The thinset comes out the spaces and if you put it on thin the tile slides down. With the mat, the tile can't be repositioned or adjusted. I use a product called Power Grab, comes in caulking tube, run a bead along the back of the tile and put on wall. Tiles come on a 12x12 sheet. Wait 24 hours and grout with UN-sanded grout.
