It was the student loan program. Once anyone could borrow enough money to go to school colleges started spending like drunken sailors and raising tuition to cover their excesses. Now we have a generation with more debt than their degrees can pay for.

We have a cleaning company in TV (and up North).

The one in TV comes when the boss is down for more than a month. Fair price, for an excellent job.

Same with up north. A much bigger home, so it costs more. Again, a fair price for excellent work. Add to than, the same women have been coming for about 15 years, and we don't have to worry about theft...
Cool !

Let's see, I knew it yesterday...

The Villages Florida
Property taxes normally, which are progressive so those (OF YOU) with lots of property (2 homes) pay the most for school taxes. So riddle me this Batphysician.........would that INCENTIVIZE LARGE property owners to eliminate Vocation Ed ( too expensive) and force ALL students to bend toward academic fields (even though they are good with their hands). Incentivize large owners to put people on the school board to keep public school budgets low. And encourage private schools.

I imagine that SOME will find flaws with my dissertation. Anyone, anyone ?????

My only objection, is that they will crowd up our rec centers even more than they are now. In the Villages, I don' t believe they will say no to a Mom 30 yo and her child of 10 for cardio drumming.

Senior classes should be senior and the same in reverse. We do require a bit of specialization in our class due to restrictions.
Well stated.

I wouldn't know. I've never lived in either of those places...

And statistics will show that when you increase the population by X%, crime will also increase by X%...

Constant dollars factor in inflation, which even back 2 years or more had been moving at about a 2% CLIP year over year. Constant dollars give a person the idea of what could have BEEN purchased say for 10 dollars in 1990 and how much LESS you can buy with $10 today.
.......In other words, money CHANGES VALUE over time. IN 1965 if I looked around I could buy a running (with some cosmetic problems) USED automobile for $600. I even purchased a 1981 station wagon AUDI with a slant FIVE engine in about 1995 for $600. Today $ 600 will barely buy you a nice new bicycle.
.........The reason I "bash" golf is that I don't consider it a sport - much like shooting pool. Pool is a skill not a sport. Golf is just played on a BIGGER green table. Which wastes good forest land, but I digress. I just find it humorous how SO MANY people in V Land go ALL ga,ga over GOLF. it's like follow the leader......you golf so I MUST FOLLOW AND golf. Golf has some small redeaming qualities. I have sometimes at twilight when no one is looking......taken out a 9 iron and a plastic ball and hit it around a park and ran after it. I have even used a real golf ball and hit some 9 iron shots on a nearby fairway.SSSHHHHUUUSSSHHHH don't DARE tell anyone, I don't want to ruin my reputation. Golf NEEDS people like me to balance out all the Ga, Ga men golfers, and all the Lady GA GA golfers. See how I got to the punch line. Anyone, anyone.
More nonsense...

REAL wages were increasing AHEAD of inflation. That means the average American was INCREASING their purchase power.

You comparing prices from almost 60 years ago means nothing.

In 1985, I was paid $9500 as a resident... My first year in practice, I made $25K...

None of that means a thing today...

To your second "point"...

Sport:

noun

1. an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.

Since you've never played the game, you haven't a clue as to the actual physical exertion and hand-eye coordination needed to play competitively... (a 9 iron and a plastic ball doesn't count...)

What in god's green earth does the CEO of GE have to do with colleges hiring un-needed "social justice" administrators?

And that led to "SALARY SLAVES"???

Yup! Every time the gubmint raised how much you could borrow, schools increased tuition by a similar amount...

But that doesn't take into account that less and less money is being spent on actually teaching the students as more and more money is being spent on useless administrators...
