Pretty good I think.
I have a Gardenia South of 466a, all electric, that I rent during prime season. It is a smart home meaning I can control the thermostat remotely and see I can the changes the Guest makes to the thermostat. I don't change the temp while the Guest is there but I do review the history once I receive the bill. As we all know a rental is very different that your own home and you can simply do different things in a rental in a rental like: Sleep at 71, cool to 65 upon waking, realize that is too cold and heat to 78, before cooling to 72: all within three hours. Try sleeping at 45, for something like back home up north! Try several combinations of the thermostat, 88 in March in fact. I can't explain this... The total cost was $103.72 or 872 KWH, which was not too bad. I did add 30 bags of blown in insulation but I estimate about 15 were over the lanai. Nerveless this is an exceptionally low reoccurring cost. We should count our good fortune! We can control many things but not too many of us would pass on electricity. We have a Gardenia also, ours is stretched but bills are similar, we have a hot tub/spa that is used several times a week, and I changed all of the light bulbs to LEDs. As I understand it, the block homes are well insulated. We had Frank DeAngelo inspect our home for the 1 year warranty, and he did find 1 or 2 insulation related problems, these were fixed, and some additional insulation added.
I did love the changes in the thermostat...we have ours set 72 to 78, and during the spring and fall it is usually off, as we have the windows open, like now!!

I should add the base line cost with the water heater off and virtually no hvac operating cost is 32.00. Service fee, fridge and ghost electricity (wall warts, etc)

It's ironic that many times TV/Internet costs more than electricity.

In 1974 I told myself, who would be stupid enough to pay for television ?
