Well this is the last day here in the North before heading for the Villages. It actually isn't too bad here lately with only a little snow on the ground and temps just around freezing. High winds caused havoc yesterday but nothing like the 'high winds' folks in Florida sometimes experience.

Going to take three days..first day thought the mountains etc about 11 hours and then on the second day driving from Virginia to Geogia hoping to avoid any gridlocks that sometimes occur on highway 95 due to all the campers etc. heading for Florida for Jan. 1. Hope to get to a motel in Georgia in early afternoon and then relax and then head for the Villages early on Jan. 1st.

Hope to start getting familiarized as soon as we arrive and get unpacked. Hopefully we will get to meet some of you kind people early in our stay. As I mentionned in earlier emails so of the excitement for our 3 month stay has been diminished due to the sad news about our 4 month old granddaughter but I seem to be getting a little better (not so many tears) and I am sure that once I get to the Villages the magic of the place and the great people will get my mind off things etc. We really look forward to meeting some of the very nice people who have been posting on this site.

Doug, have a safe trip and drive carefully. Based on some others who returned to TV this weekend, the Carolina area is a disaster. Traffic is horrible, but right after that you'll be in The Villages.

Keep us updated on your travels and we can't wait to meet you under the clock in LSL... This has been a weekend of welcoming home our friends.
