Bailey,

The lowest I saw for a new Lantana was 279K in Hadley on discount. They can range up to $500K+ with large lot, golf front, and pool/spa. Since the Lantana has a large footprint, they are usually on large lots, so, most are well over 300K.

A related question: Does anyone know the price difference for the Juniper which I have been told is the vinyl sided version of the Lantana? Is there anything else different about the Lantana from the Juniper? I'm also wondering why the web site for TV rarely features either Junipers or Lantanas.

When we were looking, we were told that the Lantana model was about 15 feet larger than the Juniper.
We bought a year and a half old (new) Juniper.

That's interesting about the Lantana being 15 sq ft bigger than the Juniper, the only difference being that the latter is vinyl while the former is CBS. We bought a vinyl Bougainvillea and knew the interior layout from our friends' CBS Bougainvillea, and there's is also 15 sq ft bigger than ours, though we and they have searched and searched and cannot find the 15 ft....

Actually, I believe it is the Juniper which is larger. They are built on the same footprint and the block walls are slightly thicker than the stick-built, this the larger sq. ft inside. (We have a Juniper and I noted this fact while looking).

That's right! Same is true for the other models offered in both block and frame. Frame has a slightly larger volume due to the somewhat thinner walls. That 15 ft you're looking for is distributed all around the house in dimensions just a little larger in one than the other.

What you say about the frame models being larger due to the extra thickness consumed by the block is logical. However, based on the sizes provided in the web site above, the opposite is the case: (2021 for the Juniper and 2032 for the Lantana.) But, for 11 sq. feet either way it is nothing more than a quibble. Other than the construction type, CBS versus frame, and the potential, somewhat insignificant diiferences in interior size, I take it that there is no other differences in the two models? Any idea on the price differential?

Our rep told us that the bigger square foot models, the Lantana and Camellia, and their block counterparts, (I can't remember their names this second) are fast sellers. As soon as they are listed, they are gone.

On The Villages website there are 2 new Lantanas and 1 Juniper for sale.
Juniper = 2,020 sq. ft
Lantana = 2,037 sq. ft
Lantana with pool = 2,004 sq. ft

Question - are there any Lantanas that are not on golf courses? Can other sites accommodate a Lantana or Juniper?
