Default Leftover paint

I have a half dozen or so partially used cans of paint and cannot find how to dispose of them.
I look forward to ideas.
Thank you

If it is latex paint, just leave it open until it dries out and put it in the regular trash.

I agree with above. If you are in a hurry, you can get a large box, add newspaper, add some paint and let dry, then repeat additional layers in the box. once completely dry place in trash. I believe you can also use kitty litter. On a side note, I have successfully stored latex paint in plastic containers for years so I have touch up paint.

If they are in Sumter county as most will want to see proof of residency. I agree with the above just use kitty litter and leave in the garage a few days open it will dry quick to then place in the trash.

Next collection day is August 23 in Bushnell, by Sumter Co.

Every April there is one at Okahumpka Park on 44, between Morse and Buena Vista.
Quite organized.

Household Electronics & Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection - Amnesty Day | Sumter County, FL - Official Website

They have a long list of things they take, including old electronics.

Paint is expensive now and if your partials are still usable put them out at the bottom of your driveway with a free sign one morning and they will be gone by the end of the day.

What color code?

If it’s S & W 1353 old ivory or S & W white 2123 outdoor latex paint I’ll be glad to come and get it.

If it is paint that was used in the painting of the interior or exterior of your house, then why throw it away? You may need it for touchup later. It's better to have the original paint for two reasons:

First, it's the right color and it's already paid for. Second, it's sure to match what you have unless your paint has faded. In that case, you could always add just a small amount of white paint to lighten up the color enough to match the paint that's on the walls.

Hardware stores do sell paint hardener, but most prefer cat liter although I've found that the latter is not as absorbent as it used to be.

Take it for a drive anywhere in The Villages and let it fall out of your car and spill onto the road where it stays for an eternity- that's what the contractors do.
