We used them to have our stuff delivered from upstate NY to TV, and were very satisfied with the service. We weren't going to be in TV when the cube was delivered, so we had it held in Ocala until we got back. Then we made a call and they brought it to TV. It sat in our driveway for a day or two until we unloaded it, then we called and they picked it up. Its amazing how much stuff you can fit into one of those things. Just be sure to cushion anything breakable, like mirrors, pictures with glass in them, etc, and put coverings over anything that can get scratched. We used old blankets to protect wood furniture. Tie everything down well, because items can shift. We ended up with one scratched mirror, but otherwise, everything else turned out okay.

I can't open it Indy. Our really "good" stuff has been in one for a couple of months and will be delivered on the 21st when we move into new house.

I hope it is gonna be alright!

We used them for our move down in May without incident. Called us a few days before scheduled delivery to ask if we wanted them a couple of days early, since they would be in the area that day, and we accepted. It gave us more time to fill them up. They picked them up and delivered them on time. If memory serves, they were about $900 - $1000 less than Pods. Since I've never used Pods, I can't compare the two, but we were very satisfied with ABF.

I have studied this for actually a few years, and I'm also a Moderator on a General Moving Issues forum.
ABF Relocubes seem to have much better reviews then many other options.

When we make our move from NY to Florida hopefully within a few months, this is that I am leaning towards.

The BIG thing to know is;

1) Know that if you are moving from a BIG northern house with an attic and a big basement to a much smaller Florida home with NO basement, etc.....you will NEED to get rid of A LOT of your stuff!!!!!

2) It costs A LOT to move stuff. I've seen too many folks not get rid of nearly enough stuff, so they pay big bucks to move stuff over 100 miles, only to get rid of it in Florida. Foolish.

3) You do not need "Stuff" to keep memories alive. You do not need to feel guilty getting rid of ANYTHING just because some loved one got rid of it by giving it you.

4) You are starting a new life. Keep a few things that mean a lot to you, but most stuff is better left behind. Many northern things just do not go well in a Florida home.

I too would be interested in other folks experience with Relocubes, etc.

You need to know how to pack well, keep stuff from shifting, keep stuff protected, etc. If you have a bad experience, it is probably because YOU did not pack well.

Frank

You are welcome. The experience that these people had may have been an anomoly or it might have been directly the result of a single branch that was poorly managed. At any rate, I regularly scour the internet for reviews so I can spot a pattern of performance before I spend any significant dollars. Good luck!

Default Relocubes

We used relocubes from ABF, also had a good experience, we only had a small cube 6' x 7' I think. If I were moving a lot of furniture I think I would hire professionals to pack the goods in the cube, I had no damage but the cost would be minimal to have someone pack the cubes and it may save a cube or two if you had a lot of stuff. As Frank said, the less you move ( big stuff) the less money, may as well get rid of the stuff before the move and not also pay to move it. The noce thing about relocubes is that is very easy to hold in storage until the day you need it.

Gracie, Try "right clicking" on the link; then click on copy shortcut; then go up to the address bar at the top of your browser and paste it in (control V).
Good luck.
