Hmm. That's a tough one. Given that choice, I'll take the doctor.

"The Village Center Community Development District has voted unanimously to authorize District Manager Janet Tutt to develop a plan to possibly save the Villages Lifelong Learning College and reinstate classes as soon as the upcoming summer..."
Progress being made or doublespeak? ![]()

The suit is an attempted money grab/extortion. Most selfish people hate to pay monies themselves so the best way to get Louis & Doris Schwartz(mostly other couples....eg why are so many spouses involved other than money) is to countersue this group for loss of "pursuit of happiness". There's probably a better legal claim, this is just what comes to mind. If a 1000+ of us chipped in $20/ea less than a dinner out we could force this group's legal counsel, Andrew Rozynski, Eisenberg & Baum, LLP, to spend billable hours and in turn they would seek compensation from Schwarz, et al. Other Villagers with legal training could improve this concept

"Angst"? Really... major understatement
"While far from a done deal, Tutt said she understands there is “angst” in The Villages over the loss of the Lifelong Learning College." |

Yes somehow the Morse family convinced 32 deaf people to file a suit against an entity the Morses do not own so they could make more money. |

Below is a post i just copied from The Villages Friendly Folks Facebook page. Get busy sending emails!
We attended the Welcome Wednesday meeting at the District Office. Janet Tutt (District Manager) spoke to the people in attendance. The District and the LLC have no legal connection whatsoever. Due to the amount of people that are concerned about the LLC closing the Board of Directors for the District are investigating what can be done to make sure the Villagers are being supported. They are hopeful that negotiations can bring a successful resolution to the problem of the LLC shutting down. It was a very positive meeting. What we all need to to help is send an email to Janet.Tutt@DistrictGov.org and CustomerService@DistrictGov.org to let them know how much we will miss having the LLC and how much we support any efforts they can help with in returning the LLC or replacing something like the LLC. The District had NO control over this and can't be blamed for the issue. They really are doing everything they can but they want to hear from all the people that want them to get involved. She did say that the 2000+ clubs we have at the recreation centers are not part of the District either and can't be sued. They belong to the homeowners that run the clubs. The District only supports them by giving them places to meet. Please help and send those email in! Thanks |
