Some brokers charge 1%.
Seems high, but if performance is 5% over benchmarks......1% could be a great deal.

With a recommendation, give useful supportive information.

Besides fee, what has your portfolio returns been over the last 10 years so the OP can tell if the fee is worth it.

The problem with a lot of brokers is, they charge a fee and don't meet or beat the market.

40 points sounds cheap, but it could be extremely expensive based on performance.
