If in either area try it and see if you like it better than Popeye's or Cane's. I think it's way better. I order the 7 piece fingers with both Honey Mustard and Sweet Heat side sauces. I do half grilled/half battered and sometimes I get an extra finger. (no, not the naughty kind!)
Huey Magoos opened a few days ago. Will give it some time and will try it.

They along with McCall's were pretty much tied in the quality of their fried chicken.

With that said another vote for Cheers.

that's why we need a few scattered around. 1 for 466a, 1 for south of 44, maybe another along 301 with the new school or hosp coming in.

Try the Metro Diner on 466, before Walmart, has the best fried chicken around!

I find Publix fried chicken very good in all respects except one; it is invariably too salty for me. McCall's is currently my favorite but I've not been there since the change of owners. I've had Mallory's chicken and liked it.

Mallory Country Club—Wed & Sunday nights $10.99. Very good — get there early as they run out often.

OP here. We went to McCall’s today and for me it was exceptional. I finally found what I’ve been looking for. Oh, I did try a couple of the other recommendations and was not satisfied. End of story. Thanks

If you are willing for a bit of a drive, I like the wings at Yummy Chinese in Ocala - a little spicy and good Asian flavor. They are also have authentic Hong Kong-style Chow Mein, like they serve at Chinese restaurants on the West Coast.
