I have Directv with Comcast Internet and Ooma phone. I was using Brighthouse for internet and phone but had too many problems with the internet so I switched to Comcast. Got 50MPS for the same price I was paying Brighthouse for 15MPS. However I would never switch to Comcast cable. Love my Direct too much. Good Luck

We have Direct TV and have had it for about 6 years. Only one time did we have an issue and they Fed-exd us a new DVR overnight. First they tried troubleshooting it over the phone. All we had to do was unplug the old and plug in the new. Occasionally I do have to reboot the DVR. You do sometimes get pixalation and loss of picture during rain storms, so it will effect your recordings and your current picture. I've been told to watch shows not on HD during that time and sometimes that works. Picture loss has not been a problem for us but for some people to lose picture during a football game may be an issue. They offer several bundles. You can view all of their bundles on line at their website and they usually have specials for new customers. I would suggest viewing the bundles on line before calling them, that way you know your options and you won't be talked into something you don't want.

Good summary about the occasional picture loss during storms. Usually only a few minutes. We are very happy with the programming.

If you do decide to go with Direct TV get with a current subscriber of your choice and submit their account number when you sign up. Both of you will receive a $10 per month discount for 10 months.

Have Direct TV and really like it. Have Comcast Internet and watch it closely so if they start the price increases I can leave them. Have AT&T box which uses
my Cell line for home phone but different number and no one would know. It costs $20 a month unlimited long distance, etc. Am totally satisfied.

I have DirecTV and Comcast Internet. I own my own Cable Modem and use MagicJack for phone. Everything works fine but as others have said you lose HD signal in downpours so I just switch to SD or watch something on DVR, Netflix or Amazon.

Have had DirecTV since 1996, used it along with cable since no local channels at the time, but used basic, got the premium channels via DirecTV and USSB before they combined. Once DirecTV finally got all local channels, first just the VHF then UHF, dropped cable. was now internet back then so had two phone lines one for Internet, then later cable Internet alone available.
Here have DirecTV, Comcast high speed Internet and Vonage phone,

Just look at how things have changed. Anything electronic gets cheaper and smaller.

I had Directv for almost 2 years and they make an excellent product especially if one likes sports.

I switched to DISH and like their Hopper DVR, as it makes recording programs easy, (did not have a DVR, with Directv).

The same programs with 800 free movies and the quality is the same as DirectV. All satellite dishes will go out for short periods of time with inclement weather.

I prefer DISH as DirectV customer service is awful in the sense they don't care and don't seem to know their product as well as they should. Spent a lot of time trying to rectify problems as customer service leaves a lot to be desired. IMHO

Would never sign-up for a bundle with Comcast as their customer service is the worst unless you never have a problem.

Very happy with DISH and one can always visit their office and speak to a CSR directly.
