The newspaper used to publish a list of all clubs in weekly
Recreation News and as I recall, there were 2 German clubs listed. I never joined either, my father's family was from Germany, but I was tempted. I know the Rec News that is available at the rec centers does not list all clubs anymore, but supposedly they are on a spreadsheet in one of The Villages web pages. Not sure if that list is current or accurate, or even who keeps it updated, but suggest you might check there. Viel Gluck !!!

I know a Villager who is a German man who taught German and English students at various Chinese universities for about ten years. This would have been twenty or so years ago though.

I am 99.7% German. I was born in a small town in Missouri called Hermann. My parents did not speak English until they started school. I don’t speak German at all. I understand the world war 1 made the town afraid of speaking German. We had several festivals each year my father danced in. My parents were proud of both being German so I was afraid of doing the DNA test, but the results proved almost correct.
