I'm a renter, here for 3 months.
I'd like to purchase a used bike (ideally. a women's hybrid) OR
rent a bike while I'm here.

How can I go about finding a used bike to purchase (classifieds section of this site has very few listed; same for the Sumter Landing Bike Club's site.

Any help would be appreciated!

I have a men's 21 speed that I would like to sell, probably has 500 miles on it. Let me know if you are interested, it was around $400 when new. I have added some extras since then, I was thinking around $200. Might have a women's also, need to talk to my wife.
