Same ownership. Maybe they will put TJ in the other 40% that's left over?

Last I checked, a dozen eggs at Publix was around $6 so not sure what your point is. Prices at all groceries are higher. You know what is responsible, but not allowed to say here.

Yes. Do you think the "free" plastic bags at Publix are free? LOL

How would that work? You can't cross 466A at Pinellas. And AFAIK there are no paths from the north that are through to those parking lots.

If it keeps my prices down, why should I pay for everyone's plastic bags? Bring your own, or buy them there. You are going to bag it yourself as well.

If I'm going in for a few items, I'll just carry them out. I've also been know to go over to a display that is almost empty, consolidate the remaining items in one box and voila! There's my "bag"

You do the same thing now if you are a Sam's or BJ's member. And you pay for that privilege.

Aldi's and Trader Joes are not the same ownership. They were founded by the same family but the two brothers split up in 1961 in some kind of dispute. So the two stores haven't had any relationship with each other for over 60 years.

That Winn Dixie was one of the best stores in their chain

Why would I meat for a higher per ounce or pound price at Aldi, instead of at other grocery.
It bothers me the chaotic looks of Aldi, even at rope drop. Some say it the shopper that causes the issue, I look at why doesn’t management resolve issues after hours, like all retail has to do.
My parents were avid shoppers of Aldi, until I added price comparison apps. Aldi dropped from their go to store, to rarely shop at Aldi
Their prices are great IF you buy their store brands and they did not change/had small changes when inflation was high.

Why not? The culprit was a continued battle against the highly pathogenic avian influenza, known in short as HPAI or the bird flu.

You mean monopolies. Basically we have 2 grocery store choices in Florida, Publix and Walmart now that Winn Dixie is gone

ALDI & TJ were not started by the same family. Brothers started ALDI, eventually splitting to 2 different ALDI companies. Today the parent company of one ALDI company and TJ are the same.

Read online for the accurate information.

No matter who owns them both A & TJ are great stores.

That explains eggs, but not everything else in the store.

No, that's not what I mean. No question that reduced competition leads to higher prices. It's hardly a monopoly, which by definition means only one vendor. Walmart is the largest grocer in the US. You also have Publix, Aldi, Sprouts, Sam's BJ's, and soon Costco. Plus some small independent stores.
