That's a good visual - hanging on the ceiling fan.

The solution would be to make a recording of a LOUD motorcycle and play it OFTEN in your OWN home.

& I agree with you (don't tell anyone). Only Electric landscape equipment should be allowed. Or, get a nice set of headphones or ear pods and listen to it 24 hours a day ... anywhere they go. |

Remember a couple years ago Harley Davidsons company was posting this all over on mugs, jackets, even condoms.
The slogan was, "Screw It, Let's Ride." Now that was attitude and intelligence at it's best. You're not buying a motorcycle with Harley, you're buying into a cult with beards, dirty shirts, and big beer bellies. Believe me I know, I lived in Milwaukee. My truck doesn't have mufflers, I like the sound my truck makes. I built it for me.

Load mufflers we’re cheap, they made their car sound fast or it got them attention!

There’s a YouTube channel where a group of people get together....in the dozens....and parade into subdivisions and neighborhoods of ‘Karens’ with their classic and modified hobby cars. All the other neighbors friends, families and children line the streets in solidarity of the organizers. I will post the link at some point.
IMO....if it’s without malice, I have no issue with it. If someone was idling and holding court in front of my house....different story. |

Way back when I was 21 I drove a souped-up lowrider 1968 VW bug around. After I replaced the stock fan housing with an aluminum one to "pretty up" the engine it began to have a whistling sound while driving. Perhaps because of the hole I drilled for the clutch cable to go through. A co-worker thought that I had upgraded the performance and asked if I had "gearing." Hmmm, I liked that assessment. I never minded the attention at a few stoplights, but I was also wary of driving through the quiet neighborhoods during late nights/early mornings. Ever since I changed vehicles a few years later I never missed the sound. These days I don't want to have my car attracting any noisy attention to myself and I have embraced having a quieter engine. Apparently not true for some.

It seems like the only thing old people can do is complain. This forum needs to change it's name, Whine of The Villages.

If it’s not uniform or to their liking....or, they don’t agree with a competing position on a topic...they pick up their ball and run home. Even the developer figured it out by welcoming families, schools and commercial spaces (Middleton/ Eastport etc). Forget the forum changing.....the ground game is about to change around here. IMO, a good thing. I applaud the developer on this ‘cultural shift’! |
