Has anyone had issues with very low water pressure? If so, how did you resolve the issue? Are there contractors here in the Villages that deal with this sort of issue? We do have a water softener system in place, but that's it, no other filtration.

I would check with whomever installed your softener to see if there is a valve partially closed.

Had that problem, first call to the water department. They will come and check very quickly. Meter to home was faulty in our case.

We noticed this in our shower. Hubby took off the nozzle and there was a screen in it he removed and that helped. Some of them have water savers on them, on one he had to drill a hole to let the water through. We do notice our water fluctuates from day to day as far as pressure goes but this helped alot.

Next check your main water shutoff, should be in the garage.Turn it off and then on making sure it is fully open.Believe it or not but this fixed my low pressure problem.I guess that the shutoff was not fully open. |

We had terrible water pressure in our bathrooms. I replaced all the faucet nozzles (aerators) to 2.2 Gpm (gallons per minute) which they tell me at lowe's that is the highest they are allowed to sell. They cost about $4.00 each. The ones originally in place were 1.5 Gpm. That solved my water pressure issue AND where it used to take over a minute to get HOT water at the sinks farthest from the hot water heater I get hot water now in 15 seconds. I have changed out ALL the shower heads, kitchen and utility sink and faucet aerators at this time and have tons of water pressure now. That is something else you can check.

Most post seem to be referring to water volume not pressure. The water dept supplies water at pressure to you. If you replace your 3/4" garden hose with a 1/2" hose you will get less volume. Same as a restricted faucet or shower head. They want us to conserve water by restricting the flow, but the fallacy is you have to run it longer.
