CIB, click on link below and then add to your favorites. If it asked you to download "Active X" click ok on the yellow bar accross the top of the page. It should work, Johnny

CIB, Did you click on the yellow band at the top of your screen. It should say install active x now...Yes or No. Click yes. If you don't see a yellow bar you may have to go to tools on the menu and click allow pop ups until it is loaded and then go back and block pop ups again. I hope all you need to do is click on the yellow bar for a yes/no menu. Let me know. How old is the computer and what version of Windows are you using. That may also be a problem. Johnny
If this doesn't work we may have to move this to the computer help folder on the forum and yell for Brightspot!!!

JohnnyM...... thanks for your help.

My computer is an antique - 6 years old, and I have windowsXP. I'll follow your advice but first I'd better do a cleanup and make a systems restore before I download anything new!

CIB you are not really downloading anything. Active X is just a 5 or 10 second (add on) download for the computer to view the web cam. It takes mere seconds and then you should automatically be viewing the picture.

What the web cam at LSL is centered on the pavilion where the bands play. With Lake Sumter in the background. You can see the sand traps on The Arnold Palmer Course in the distance.

CIB I think you're looking at the sales center, which is in the background of the webcam view at SS. Looks like a swanky hotel. To see the webcam at LSL click below the picture of SS.

CIB,
So glad you can view the squares!

Here's what I like to do sometimes: open another browser window and get both squares side-by-side. The one with more dancing may be the one I go to, when I'm not sure. Now that you know I have no life!! LOL....

To illustrate:
The Villages Florida

Now if they would add sound to that page (from each gazebo) that would help too!

WOW......pj....... thanks for that tip! If I can figure out how to open another browser I'll do the same. (No life here, either).

NOW, if only we can ZOOM-IN to some of the people on the squares (HeHe.... ) that would really be worth looking at ;D

I agree about the zooming and the music...but maybe it is better without cause while the viewing gives me my fix it also makes me sad sometimes, cause I so want to be there. :'( :'( The music and close up might make it intolerable. I have a life and I put it on hold every chance I get to hang out here and on the TV sites. We need to move soon.
Wow another reason why "Horton hears the Who" reminds me of TV. We webcam peepers are Horton!
