Default Map of Communities in The Villages

I've tried to search for a map with the various communities in The Villages labeled with no luck. If you know of a link to such a map, may I ask you to post it?

Thanks,
Woody

Suggest you go to the Virginia Trace web site ...here is an example of what they have south of 466

I use http://www.lylesellsfla.com a realty site. Click on The Villages Info, next along Left side Villages Map. You'll find just what you're looking for pages 6 and 7.

Perfect! Thank you!

I notice that the maps are divided by areas north and south of Hwy 466. I realize that this is a natural dividing line, but is there are there advantages or disadvantages to living north or south of Hwy 466?

Thanks,
Woody

* Woody:

There are several significant differences between "north of" and "south of" 466.* The individual buyer needs to decide if each difference is an advantage or disadvantage based on what they are looking for.

For example, there are no new homes being built on the north side...they are all on the south.* But you may prefer a resale, so that would not be a factor.

Consequently, the neighborhoods to the north have been established for a number of years and the landscaping is more mature.* At the same time, the social network has also been established and the population will be several years older on average.* If the average age moving into a new section is 60 to 65, the average age in the established sections is likely to be around 65 to 70.

Different types of shopping or service oppourtunities may be important...there's more on the north side but options are increasing on the south side.

You forgot to mention the most of the golf cart paths are narrower or not developled as part of the VILLAGES concept compared to south of 466.

We were interested only in a resale, and I am not disparaging older homes when I say that we felt more comfortable with a relatively young resale (three and a half years old when we bought last year). We are south of 466 and close to what was important to us: the Lifetime Learning College and the Villages Library. We can hear the trains in the distance and find it more charming than an issue about where to live here, while others might find this a problem. One has to evaluate just what's most important, and everyone has different considerations....

Good points. Thank you.

We're just trying to figure out The Villages layout. Although we're open to new or previously owned, a view and backyard privacy would seem to be high on our list. Three or Four bedroom with golf cart garage. Probably a Designer or Premier model from what we've seen so far. But we're open to suggestions and our thoughts may change as we become more familiar with The Villages. Any suggestions are appreciated.

There is a new village with new homes being built on the NORTH side of Rte 466 of the Buffalo Ridge Mall area.
That one is not in TV.

One of the major concerns I had when buying my home was the availability of natural gas. North of 466, natural gas is easier to find.
There are many, many Designer or Premier models available for resale, on and of the golf courses and lakes, north of 466.
I moved into the village of Summerville. I have terrific neighbors and I don't believe the average age is much over 65.

AAA has a map that shows TV and some of the surrounding area. The official $5.00 TV map is just TV. The TV map is easier to read, but I like the other one for the sake of getting my bearings in the area. Oh, just throw caution to the wind and get both. You only live once.

Thank you all for the helpful comments and suggestions. I look forward to being a TV resident in the not too distant future!
