Credit Cards to me are getting scary. It’s getting to the point that cash won’t be excepted one of these days & the governments will just help themselves to your credit card. Times are changing!

Default Shouldn't those cards be grandfathered in?

When there is a corporate buyout they have to take into consideration cards like these might still exist. If the cards are still valid and have not expired I would demand that they be accepted at the Circle K stores.

Silly.

If they purchased assets, not stock, it's not their problem.

why is that? i see many Cir-K locations that used to carry Shell, but now the CirK brand has taken over almost everywhere. the closest Shell is now miles away, & i've had to switch over to Chevron in Leesburg/44. is it really corporate takeover?

These are franchises. Unbranded gas can be sold at a lower price. gets you in for chips and soda at huge markups.

7-Eleven and Circle K are 1 and 2 in size. Only will get bigger,

Add Techron to tank occasionally

Default Marathon cards

I’ll look into that option. When I asked customer service at the Lake Deaton Publix I was told Publix had no remedy for Clark’s (the owner of the two former Marathon locations that are now Circle K) switching brands. I also asked at the Lake Deaton now Circle K and they indicated I had to go to one of the other Marathons, in Leesburg or north of Oxford.
If Publix will exchange cards I’d prefer to stay closer to home than drive 10 miles out of my way.

Publix is a third party seller of the card. it likely went through Blackhawk network. Publix is out of the loop once a sale is made. Your best remedy is to sell to Raise at a haircut if you don’t want to use it.

Marathon brand has been selling locations throughout Florida. See the store locator

We just came from the Lake Deaton Publix. The store manager was very graciously exchanged 5 Marathon gas cards for Circle K gas cards. The max number he would exchange was 5, and they must have been purchased from that store, and of course had a receipt. That was better than we had expected.
