I use to watch them on the Web Cam up north and think one day I'll get to see them perform. Tomorrow is the day, and I'll be there.

Default Had a Great Time

Took grandkids to the Brownwood Halloween last night and had a great time. Games were fun, trick or treat at the golf carts was well done with very nice people dressed in costumes, and the haunted house was just amazing...an actual story line, great acting, and just scary enough.

We went Thursday to Brownwood for the Halloween show. Uncle Bob's Rock Shop as usual performed great. It was the third time I've seen them this month and I must have seen them 25 times all together. The Shaka Dancers did a great job with the Michael Jackson Thriller dance and Rocky Horror Time Warp dance and they were well received by the crowd. I knew to get there early, but apparently everyone else did as well, we arrived at 4pm and only seating in the stands was available.

The only complaint was, why is only one bar open when there is a crowd of probably 7,000 or 8,000 people. Granted, the bar has two windows but why is the second bar station shuttered, you couldn't have a bigger crowd. At 5pm the Happy Hour bar line wrapped all through the turnstiles and another 50 feet down the sidewalk. It's evident now that Brownwood is too small and all the stores aren't even open. I've been there before for the Florida Lottery and the Flamingos performance and 4th of July and other events, and this tops them all. It was a very good evening and the weather was great. We stopped at Chick Filet for a sandwich on the way out and they were sold out. I guess everybody did well.

Here's one of the clowns with a puppet mouse on her arm, my neighbor took the photo from our front row seats in the stands.

Default bar staff at brownwood

the Halloween celebration at brownwood was really crowded. the line at the bar hut was long but the 4 bartenders that were working worked really fast and the line moved fast also. they move faster then most of the restaurants around the square. they didnt even have a line at city fire or world of beer but I still waited around fifteen min for a drink. the bar hut was more professional and the drink prices are cheaper I will be telling my friends to go them.

Default Brownwood Halloween

What a great time had by all at Brownwood there were plenty of staff on very few complaints and the only complaints were from the people that were in a hurry to go nowhere.. A couple of people in front of me didn't even leave a tip I thought that was pretty rude why would people do that don't you tip all your service people and especially how happy and cheerful that staff is.. They were handing out candy smiles and drinks what more can you ask for what a great staff the villages should be very proud to hire people like that.. Thanks again and can't wait for the next event you put on in Brownwood.. Happy Thanksgiving everyone..
