I remember seeing the guy that invented Kwanzaa walking around campus when I was pursuing my undergrad back in the day. It's rarely mentioned he is a violent felon.

So sad that in this thread where we all spread cheer, joy, good wishes and good will to each other, that ONE person might wreck it by pointing out a totally irrelevant bit of trivia about violence. Not surprising - just sad.
