Default Mint mobile

Does anyone have Mint Mobile? If so, how is the coverage? They are WAY less expensive than Verizon. So is Spectrum and Xfinity. I've been with Verizon for over 10 years and they keep raising my rates and are 1/3 higher.

I use Xfinity Mobile, which uses the Verizon cellular network. For $20 per month, I get unlimited calls and texts, and 1GB of data which I have never exceeded. Mint Mobile uses the T-Mobile network. Every independent review I have read within the past 20 years or so has rated Verizon as the best cellular network for coverage, so why use any other network? There are several cell phone carriers who offer the Verizon network. I don't know why the other networks cannot catch up to Verizon, but they can't.

So maybe I should try Xfinity instead?

If you have the Xfinity Internet service, you should definitely get the Xfinity Mobile cell service. It is a great deal.

When we travel outside the country for no extra charge we get text and email for no extra charge.
In addition we are happy with the service we get from tmobile.
Before changing to tmobile we had verizon for 20 or so years and found their office on 441 slightly worse than useless

I had Verizon for too many years. Over two years ago I switched to USMobile.com
Uses the Verizon network. I could not tell the difference between U.S. Mobile and Verizon.
Except: excellent chat support with US Mobile. Have never waited more than a few minutes to connect to someone.

You don't need to do business with Verizon to use the Verizon network. There are only 4 nationwide cellular networks, and Verizon is always rated as the best network.

I changed from Verizon to Mint Mobile over two years ago. I live in North Carolina. At home and during multiple road trips up and down the East Coast from Maine to Florida including a two-week stay in the villages it works perfectly and I cannot detect any difference from the Verizon service. I flew to Arizona recently and rented a car and traveled all around the west including California and again it works perfectly. Its $15/month and I wish I switched years earlier.

Not for 5G. That would be T-Mobile.

Thank you for that information. We are snowbirds and live in Maine but winter in TV's. I want to make sure the coverage is good there before I sign up with Mint Mobile. I guess I could go month to month and when I get back down to TV's, if it's bad, I'll use Xfinity. I'm done with Verizon after being with them for over 10 years. They screw established customers.

We have Spectrum and they operate off of Verizon’s cell towers so you are getting the same coverage for less. We also have their internet service so only pay $29.99 per month, per line unlimited.

I switched from Verizon to Mint. Never had a problem with coverage. $15/month I pay for a year at a time and auto renew. T-mobil now owns Mint and has committed to the $15 price for existing customers. On their site it offers $15/month for 3 months then it looks like it may go to $25.Side note: Reynolds reportedly owned a 25% stake in Mint Mobile at the time of its $1.35 billion sale to T-Mobile, netting the famous actor over $330 million.

Ryan Reynolds recently sold Mint to T Mobile so time will tell if Mint will remain a very low cost company.
