Tello is probably the cheapest out there.

We’ve had Mint Mobile for 3 years. $15 a month, unlimited text, calls and data, 5G of high speed data per month. I’ve never had a problem with coverage anywhere and customer service is 1st rate.

I don’t understand why people are so loyal to their more expensive plans.

To me, it’s like buying the store brand of a product made by a major brand. Identical product for less money.

Except it's not, you're getting deprioritized in times of congestion, so therefore you're low priority.

Many of these cheap plans come with no caller id, no spam protection, no sim swap protection and no discounts on newer phones.

The sim swap protection alone is worth the few extra dollars.

Have you ever had your sim/phone number swapped to somebody else's phone who can then verify authentication texts from banks and wipe you out.

It happens every day and it's a pure nightmare.

The big 3 have layers of SIM swap protection after learning the hard way.

But by all means buy your store brand.

I have had Mint Mobile for more than 4 years. I love thee service and it is only getting better the longer I have it. I love the pay once a year fee. When in my house I use WIFI calling but that is not needed that much any longer because they keep adding towers. I live just north of 466A.

Losing calls due to being lower priority is a possibility, but I’ve never experienced it in 3+ years.
Mint Mobile has sim swap protection, they are owned by T Mobile.
Mint Mobile has caller ID.
By all means, stick to your overpriced plan if it helps you sleep better.

Just under USELESS it RIGHT ! ! Like so many, we were customers for years even though the price kept increasing and the service got worse. Took the "free" cell service when our TV-Internet provider (Comcast/Xfinity) first advertised anyone with a Samsung phone (at the beginning they did not take those with Apple phones) could get free cell service (unlimited calls and texts) and could buy additional data for $5 increments. Great deal, we seldom purchased the additional $5 data, but was useful to be able to switch back and forth as needed. Gradually they began to raise the data and base price (base went to $11, then to $20). As with all the providers, it's a constant game you must play if you with to get the best "deal". It's too bad, but a fact, that the more loyal the customer the more they penalize.... ALL emphasis seems to be attracting new customers (same with insurance), and little, if any, interest in incentivizing retention of customers. It's the sign of the times !

Ok I did. Tello offers an equivalent package to Mint Mobile for $25 a month, $10 a month more than Mint.

I have Tello 1GB/100 Minutes/Unlimited Text since my usage is 90%+ text. It costs $6 + 50 cents tax = $6.50 per month. I can buy more minutes/data at anytime for the month if I need them (never have). Tello use to just throttle back data speed if you go over for the month but now they cut you off...Booo. Tello uses T-Mobile network. No gimmicks/douchbaggery.
