I have recently had cataract surgery only in one eye.I paid $2500 more than what Medicare pays for the cataract surgery. I have told the doctor numerous times that,I need far distance lens so I would be able to drive and see high ways signs. After the surgery I have found that, he has put a near vision lens in my eye !! Does anyone have any idea, how to go after him for either correction of the lens ( another surgery) or take legal action. Thanks for reading my dilemma.

I used Active Mirror & Glass at 352-750-9877. I get compliments on it when someone comes in for the first time. It brightened up a dark corner of a room and made it appear larger. I did have to put something in front of it because some people tend to think it is an extension of the room and I didn't want them to walk into it. I clean it once a year, but it is not dirty. It's like your walls, you don't have to wash them. I had the company come back to put a border around my bathroom mirrors. I was redecorating my home and 2 different interior decorators said that it was a good choice. They both said that It makes such a difference in with my style of home to brighten up that dark corner.

Do it yourself and then if anyone is to blame - you will know him!

Won’t decrease by much if anything. Most buyers see thru cosmetic issues like this and realize the cost to change is minimal. At my age I could not care less about resale value. Make your house the way you want it and enjoy it.

I think this was placed in the wrong place. I've had cataract surgery in both eyes.
I do wonder one eye? They both are in the same head, same age, same body health, same genes etc. I had always thought near vision distance vision was due to lens shape. Actually there is also differences in the shape of the eyeball and retina issues.

Ability to see in dim light also deteriorates as we age.

I do recall a follow up visit the evening after the surgery. Typical inquiry how many fingers do you see. Truth, and my reply, I only see shapes, you ask how many fingers so I assume that is your arm. I am thrilled with the results far better than it was.

I would get another opinion. I think I would consider the Mayo clinic. You do not want a doctor where they know each other. A second opinion. Years ago I had a doctor offended that I did not go to the person he recommended for a second opinion. Doctors are human. A second opinion, they will recommend someone they know or know of that shares their view.
